ASTM A36,A572 Structual Steel Angle
ASTM A36 angle is
one of the most widely used carbon steels in industry.
A36 steel it is weldable, formable, and machinable. Galvanizing the steel increases its corrosion-resistance.
A36 steel angle covers unequal and equal angle steel according to the depth of legs.
Unequal angle steels or L-shaped steels as well as equal angle steels are necessary components
for building communication tower, power tower, workshops,
steel structure buildings and other engineering projects.
ASTM A572
steel angle is another high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) columbium-vanadium steel sections.
Owing to small amount of columbium & vanadium alloy elements, hot rolled A572 steel angle has
better properties than carbon steel A36. First, A572 has higher strength than A36.
Second, it is easy to weld, form and machine.

Difference Between A36 and A572 Steel:
Yield Strength
A36 steel grade yields 36 ksi, A572 grade 50 yields a strength of 50 ksi.
A572 steel has a more impressive carrying capacity and overall strength.
The increased strength of A572 steel makes it more suitable
for bigger projects and structures.
Tensile Strength
The tensile strength of the A36 steel grade is between 58-80 ksi,
the A572 grade 50 is between 65-90 ksi.A572 grade 50 steel is stronger than A36 steel,
which adds to the material’s load-bearing capacity and durability.
Applications
The A572 steel grade is commonly used in construction, high-strength bolted connections
and transportation infrastructure.A36 steel is mostly used in small to medium-sized projects
that don’t require high strength and durability. It’s widely used to construct buildings,
bridges, and industrial machinery.
